Paramount Planning JACKASS 4: BAD GRANDPA?

It appears that another Jackass film is on the way, but with a possible twist. Per Paramount has been registering domain names for titles like “jackass4movie.com”, “badgrandpamovie.com”, and “jackass4badgrandpa.com”, suggesting that a fourth entry in the Jackass franchise is in the works. Those wondering what the “Bad Grandpa” subtitle means probably haven’t seen the first three movies, as a prominent sketch features Johnny Knoxville and Spike Jonze hitting the streets in high quality old people make-up and participating in various shenanigans. Though the Bad Grandpa sketch is really funny, I’m not sure it could sustain a feature length film. I’m hoping this fourth entry in the franchise will still include crazy antics and stunts from other castmemebers, as well as the hilarious and increasingly dickish pranks they pull on each other. Though no Jackass 4 has been officially confirmed, the domain registration that Fusible stumbled upon (via /Film) is a good indicator that an announcement is imminent. There are some great gags and stunts in all three Jackass films so far, but it’ll be interesting to see how the dynamic of the group has shifted (if at all) since Ryan Dunn’s passing. I miss Ryan Dunn. He was a fave of mine. But another Jackass movie in any form I am first in line. NO movies have made me laugh harder...ever.

Paramount Registers Domains For ‘Jackass 4: Bad Grandpa’ | /Film

Though an official announcment has yet to be made, earlier this week Paramount registered several domains for a film that would be called Jackass 4: Bad Grandpa. Read more after the jump.

I have no problem if the Bad Grandpa characters are the centerpiece of this film, however, I really hope it’s not entirely them. The skit is uncomfortable and hilarious but if we don’t see the gang messing with each other and in other, seriously compromising, positions, it’ll be disappointing.

You’d also have to think the tragic passing of Jackass star Ryan Dunn will play a big part in this film, either with a dedication or possibly something more sinister. You just never know with the Jackass crew.

Though Paramount didn’t comment, domain registration is a dead giveaway every single time. Skyfall, Star Wars 1313, the list goes on and on. Expect this to become official soon.

Jackass is a guilty pleasure of mine but I never liked the old people sketches. Go ride a bull, box on stilts or get kicked in the nuts instead.

While I fully support another Jackass movie, the Grandpa sketches got old real fast, and probably were my least favorite of the movies.

I still really enjoy the one where Knoxville tries to steal all the random stuff from that liquor store. "I was Lon Chaney's lover!"

That's the spirit. C'mon, these guys cannot continue to pulverize themselves anymore. The franchise needs to round down a bit. I like all the old age stuff...the out of control downhill rascal scooters. Johnny Knoxville as the old man with his old bawls hanging out at the gym...I don't want a whole movie like this, but you have to think the days of getting shot with riot control guns are a thing of the past.

Look, knowing these guys it's probably a goof on the fact that they are getting old and they will probably do all the dumb, poorly thought out **** we have come to love. I DO NOT CARE. I will be in the front row on opening day.
