There were several elements that I'm forgetting that aren't in that article. They even used the line, "Storm's coming", which is used about 2 or 3 times in The Dark Knight Trilogy. Anybody else notice how almost identical the interrogation room was to the interrogation room during the big Batman/Joker showdown?Quote:

Why when all he has is a radio, he can summon multiple gunships full of help, but when he has a whole section leaving "breadcrumbs" no one is actually monitoring his position
Why a top secret superspy would be given as his code name... his actual name.
Change the name of the main character to Stanley Chumpwick and all of you who loved this movie would see it for what it is.
Meh.
Some of you take this just way too serious. Its a movie sit back, suspend reality and just enjoy it.

Chumpwick...Stanley Chumpwick. OOOh I like it. Mother****er has to REALLY be debonaire to pull that **** off. Instead of 007 he could be $3.99. Honestly though, Daniel Craig does nothing for me as Bond. It's just another Nolan-ization of a character that, for me, personifies gentlemanly cool/suave...Connery to a point and Moore to a T. Anyone can do thuggish macho action flick but the best Bond worked in the exchanges across a MahJonng/Baccarat table. It's tough to talk trash while wearing a cravat and a cummerbund. To me Bond was at his best when keeping his cool in THOSE situations. The movies started and ended with big action set pieces, but relied on dialogue and characterization to carry the flick. Maybe that's just too quaint in this world? Everyone just needs the hyperactive whirling dervish death defying almost JACKASS like Bond action. Shame really. And Boobytrap was right, Craig is just chewed up leather froot roll up. Hard to look at.Quote:

Well...then why do you go see the new one. Me, I know it offers me nothing. I stay away because I am not the audience. I don't go see it and then slag it going in knowing that it's not for me. And I have been a fan of the franchise at times. You say you have never been. Yet you go see the new one? Is that not a case of 'those that do not learn from history...'?
