    Since you brought it up:

Christopher Nolan Is Being Eyed By One Producer To Direct A Future James Bond Movie | Complex

Sam Mendes Says THE DARK KNIGHT Directly Influenced SKYFALL | Collider

I also find it interesting that we haven't heard a peep about Nolan's next project.

SKYFALL Breaks Seven-Day U.K. Box Office Record, Beating HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2 | Collider

all kinds of speculation, will there be a 2-part Bond epic next? Who will direct? Let's solve that problem. With numbers like this and the continuing strong reviews, the answer is yes, expect a 2-parter and if Mendes wants to do it, why would you NOT have him back?

Because you can have Christopher Nolan do it?

Daniel Craig Denies A Two-Part 'James Bond' Story Arc Is Next; Calls Idea "Impossible" | The Playlist

"No, I don’t know where that’s come from. It’s impossible to do a two parter," he said. "I heard that someone was talking about that we’re doing a two parter, but that’s the first I’ve heard about it. We can only do them one at a time, they take six months to shoot. You can’t write one movie thinking about the next. All we’re trying to do is get the next one sorted out and it’ll stand on its own and if I’m able I’ll do another one after that."

Yeah. I don't buy that. There was what? a 3 year 'hiatus' between Bond flicks? And this one is going to clean house. Craig is signed for(I think) two more. What better way to close out? Besides, he's kinda dopey. There is an article in last weeks Entertainment Weekly where it says that Craig was drunk at a party when he offered Sam Mendes the next Bond flick. The Broccolis were thrilled rather than pissed, and the rest is history(yes, I am absolutely sure that story is 90% bull****, still...) Craig ain't getting younger and Bonds have a shelf life. And with a lot of chatter about Idris Elba...well, the powers that be have to be curious at the very least.

I don't know. Even though they weren't shot together, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace was a 2 part arc and the second part sucked. In fact, I don't think there's ever been a successful 2-part arc in any series. I mean I liked the Back to the Future movies, but let's face it. The quality dropped by the third one.

Now if Christopher Nolan was to do it...

Quantum of Solace sucked due to the writers strike. Remove from the argument. Undercooked script that could not be revised. Sorry, but Christopher Nolan is not the answer to all questions.
