For the record and since its on HBO right now, Macgruber is the dumbest movie i've ever watched and Will Forte just might be the worst SNL cast member ever.

So I just finished watching monsters and I’m really not sure what kind of movie it was actually supposed to be. From the trailer I assumed that it would be more of a sci-fi/horror movie. To me it turns out that this movie ended up has been more of a love story in which a male and female are thrown together into a stressful situation and end up falling in love.
So far this year this is the third movie I have watched this year with the theme of alien invasions. This one falls in the middle between the good which was Battle Los Angeles and the absolutely horrific waste of 90 minutes of my life called Skyline.
The movie itself works though one can tell that it did not have a very large budget to work with. The alien creatures that were shown I did not find to be that scary. Also I was a little confused by the fact that everyone was running around with gas masks yet they showed zero evidence that there was actually any risk of infection in the zone. By that I mean they showed cattle and other animals running wild but no mutations so that did not make any sense.
So in closing it was an okay movie to watch but I do not expect to purchase it to add to my collection.
Ok next up will be Darby.
I'll chose a movie by the late director Satoshi Kon, Perfect Blue
Heh. I think I've seen this already based on adgy's recommendation. It's been at least a year, though, so I'll see it again.

I pretty much agree with this. Had it's moments, but wasn't great. I do think the director managed to do a lot with his limited budget, though, and I'm still really looking forward to what he's going to do with Godzilla. Fingers crossed.
Also, great choice on Perfect Blue. My favorite anime. Darby SHOULD watch it again.![]()
I'm still waiting for the DVD to come in the mail.
