No, my grandfather, who fled to Latin America to escape the Holocaust was a huge Allen fan and a David Niven Fan (for some weird reason) made me want to re-watch this these two films. I just wanted some talk here to comfort here, but this what I get.
Whatever.
Sorry for your loss.
I have been holding up this thread on The Baxter.
Thanks.
Sorry for being so emo, but my grandfather was a huge Crime & Misdemeanors fan and taught Match Point was Allen's contrast to that film. That's all I meant. He also loved David Niven like a bit too much.
I was just trying to make conversation. Films brings generations together.![]()
Errrr So who is up?
What are we watching again?
Why is Newcastle Brown Ale so smooth you don't realize you have already finished 4 bottles when reaching for a fifth one?
I guess I am not part of this thread.
I diffused myself. The whole grandfather thing. Oh yeah, one of my high school teachers who (think laserdisc) played Crime & Misdemeanors for us died the next weekend of a heart attack, (this reminded me of him) so I just wanted to talk about these two films and pressed search and this thread came up. That is all.
Just sad and wanted to talk.
I don't care what anybody says. Allen's Hannah and her Sisters gets me through these tough times. :(
Oh, I got the Muppets DVD so that should do.![]()
Not part of this thread based on what? People have responded to what you wrote. People have offered condolences. I even directly addressed your points about a movie that we all talked about briefly 3 months ago. You enter the thread talking about how you don't want to play and won't post again and then when your mock disrespect is met with disdain you mention your personal loss as if I was supposed to have any idea based on your use of a Monopoly game card that you were in any other mood than jovial.....
What more do you want out of us in this thread? I'm sorry you're sad. Perhaps opening with that information next time might help you get the response you're looking for.
