Default Key & Peele on Com Central

Watched this on a whim last night and was suprised at how funny it was. Always liked these guy when they were on MadTV but the first episode had some pretty funny stuff. Laughed more in 30 minutes then I have for the last 10 or so years of SNL. Worth a Watch for sure. Hope they can keep it consistently funny.

See, I agree with you to a point. I think they hammer the racial thing waaaaaaay too much. Watched both eps. and, while there was some funny stuff, I felt that they were playing the race card almost out of necessity. I had heard this show compared to Chappelle's Show...and it is similar. But I think CS had a more balanced outlook and seemed a little more loose/relaxed, whereas K+P seems a little forced. Has potential, but they need to loosen up a little bit. Funniest thing is, in the cut pieces where they introduce the segments, they couldn't be more 'white'(please don't anyone get offended here it's impossible to discuss the show without discussing race...it's really what I am complaining about.)

    this was kinda funny though

It's pretty good, some of the sketches are very funny, some are not... But that's to be expected, especially by a new show. Not a big fan of the on-stage talking between sketches though, it seems like part of a separate stand-up act instead of a way of setting up the clips like Chappelle's Show, which I guess is how they wanna be different but it's not flowing well in my opinion.

The first episode had some great moments but the second one was kind of forced like you guys are saying. I'll give it more time, that sketch about the two married dudes having to sneak off and look around before talking smack on their wives was funny as hell!

I thought the Indian Doctor Smack talk sketch was really funny as was the MLK vs Malcolm X on stage pandering sketch.

Not as cutting edge as Chappelle for sure, but by other sketch comedy show standards I liked the originality as well as the elements of social satire they offered up. Like I say...compared to SNL or The Whitest Kids....I really enjoyed it.

By com central standards.....do you prefer this to Nick Swardson?

Swardson's show had its moments. I think so far I liked chocolate news more than k & p.

Nick Swardson's show was brilliant. Loved it. But I also Loved Jon Benjamin has a Van and the Norm MacDonald show.

I feel the same. Some of the sketches are pretty funny, but that between sketch talk is painfully unfunny.

easily the funniest thing on this show so far. Second season has been far better than the first.
