And here I thought Ridley Scott's career was dead...

Not only was this a great movie, but Nicolas Cage was great in it. That's right. You heard. I think this may be the best performance I've ever seen out of him.

Just saw most of Revolutionary Road. That movie was great ! I loved it. Well acted, well directed. The "crazy guy" was awesome. F'd up as all hell but whatever. I was entertained.

Agree entirely. Across the board the performances were great...and this twist was awesome too. Overall a very underrated little gem and seeing Cage actually perform instead of doing his usual (1)act weird with facial tics and collect paycheck(Bad Lieutenant) or (2) let me pick out a heroic hairpiece and be a vacant stare action hero, collect paycheck(National Treasure) just makes me want to kick him in the bawls even more.

I liked Night Watch quite a bit, but this movie was really, really disappointing. The books, on the other hand, are all fantastic.

I struggled to get thru Night Watch, as a matter of fact i don't think i ever finished it. And Day Watch is disappointing??? Well, that saves me some time...Timur Bekma-whatever is an artist though...and i expect him to eventually make some kickass flicks...Wanted wasn't bad, even though they totally ****canned the superhero aspect of the source material.

I agree. The first time I saw Night Watch, i thought it was ok. A little derivative, but excellent visually. Then I read the books and sort of fell in love with the whole universe and now I like the movie a lot more.

Day Watch was just messy. They tried to do too much, I thought.

I love this movie. That's not sweat you see on Lee Marvin, it the alcohol oozing from his pores. The guy was drunk the entire shoot and Burt Landcaster almost beat the crap out of him for being that way.
