Watched this for the millionth time on Directv. There is apparently a cut of this that does not have the 'cancer' storyline in it. Pretty sure they made the right choice. That decision takes this flick from being a cutesy lightweight flick, to giving it a lot of emotional depth. Makes the fact that Lucas failed so hard on the second trilogy that much more apparent and tragic. Between this and that ping pong flick...Fogler should be a star!
This movie was ****ing intense. It's no wonder that some people can't watch this movie to the end, there are some really ****ed up parts. Save that, this movie is an intense experience, expertly shot/directed, and very original. But yea, not for the squeamish.
Amazing movie, one of Haneke's best. The Seventh Continent s a deeply unsettling and powerful movie about a family bored with their day-to-day lives that decides to move to Australia. The first half of the movie is pretty slow, but the second half is so ****ing powerful it'll leave you speechless. Highly recommended.
I just bought and watched Predators, better than I thought but I still liked the Original the best.
Isn't this a pick me upper?
I like it. It's creepy and probably Price's most violent film.
Pretty good adaptation of Richard Stark's "Night Of The HUnter", the same book "Payback" was based on. This one has no comedy in it, though. Good, but not great. I am looking forward to listening to the commentary track by the director and Steven Soderbergh.
This movie is a riveting little gem. Not many people know about it, I just kind of stumbled upon it randomly while perusing Netflix. Goodbye Solo is about the friendship that develops between a cab driver and a suicidal elderly man. There are so many poignant moments throughout the film, and it all comes together to make an emotional, powerful, and moving story that will likely stay in your mind hours after the credits roll.
