I can't speak for the source material but, taken as a stand alone, I thought this had a nice lazy charm to it. Disposable but fun. Chris Evans was fun to watch and well, it had JDM and Idris Elba in it, which is never a bad thing.

I won't argue that, but... it just felt like it should have been so much better. Chris Evans was great, but so many of the "jokes" (not just his) were not funny, but it felt like the writers thought they were immensely clever (like the Bla-gyver thing).
There were some good parts, but... a cast as good as that, the movie should be better.
I am curious to see The Losers, but haven't heard good things about.
Hell, I still haven't read the comics!
The worst thing about it is that it has so many cool people in it. Why the **** you gotta make Pam Grier sound like a man, dammit?

Being Catholic, I love these type of movies. Man, did the ending suck monkey balls. It was as if they ran out of money.

My favorite line:
"When you kill people in the real world, they die." No shiat sherlock!

Watched this gem again, great acting performances all around (especially Jackie Earle Haley) and a damn good movie.
