Watched another movie I found in the horror movie thread



Red, White and Blue is one of the most dark, raw, and gut-wrenching films I've seen. This film takes us into the lives of three characters whose lives intersect over the course of a week or two. It starts off pretty slow and initially I was wondering why someone would label it as a horror movie. Then the movie makes a seamless transition into an extremely brutal and graphic tale of revenge and heartbreak. I'm certainly glad I stuck with it.

Yeah, Diehard hit it on the head. The horror happens pretty much in a moment, but man...what a moment. And it's organic. It rises from just a terrible set of circumstances. But, all actions have consequences. This movie isn't for everyone. It's deliberate...it has all the earmarks of an indie flick(although the acting is better than expected), etc. But yeah, you oughtta see it Adgy. This is definitely one of those 'gotta shower afters' kind of movies.

I want to shower just from hearing about it.

I was going to watch The Woman yesterday, but um, I am turning into a wimp.

They've been showing The Woman on the Chiller channel, but I think they edit movies on there, don't they?

I think they do. So you're giving me a hint, I should watch a sanitized version?

It's probably an interesting film, Lucky McKee is almost a feminist director if you've watched his previous woman centered films.

But Jack Ketchum, while a good writer, always seemed nasty against women. I don't if he's just exploring misogyny, but the Girl Next Door made me queasy.

Still, this could be interesting, haha.

Just stop being a pussy and watch it. If you sat through The Girl Next Door and Martyrs you'll have no problem with Woman.

I've never watched Martyrs or The Girl Next Door films. :P

But I read The Girl Next Door novel, and um, yeah, that was tough, like really nasty, some people have told me worst that the novel. So I shouldn't wimp out and watch The Woman, then.

I can take demons, guys being torn in half, but dammit, I just don't like violence again women. I don't mean the Halloween, you've been slashed, now die, but the sexual violence and torture against them. It makes me sick because I am too much of a feminist.
