Good reviews, I actually thought Sleep Tight was quite uneventful but thought it would be right up your atmospheric alley (no dig). He creeps and creeps and creeps and...

Innkeepers got some pretty decent reviews but I've had no inclination to see it yet. Your loathing of Ti West is making it quite tempting though.

It's not just anti-fanboy bashing although this douche gets up in front of any audience willing to listen, and drones on with this auteur superiour chip on his shoulder and it's all so vacant. I don't want you to think I watched this biased though. I legitimately would have praised it if it were good.

As far as Sleep Tight, if the endgame hadn't been so obvious it may have been more satisfying. The best parts of the movie were the visits with his mute mother in the hospital...that's where the movie should have focused. The humanity stripping conversation with the dog lady was truly horrible too. Lot to like here, just not enough.

I want to step in here and say I agree with JD on Ti West. I've only seen House Of The Devil, and I thought it was ok, but the guy is a ****ing douche.

I like House of the Devil, but any movie that has Greg Kihn Band's "The Breakup Song" gets bonus points from me.

OOOOf. Not for everyone. Are You There God, It's Me Margaret as imagined by David Cronenberg with art design by Andy Warhol. Good performances, especially by McCord and GULP...Traci Lords. Tries to get a little cutesie with stuntcasting(including John Waters as a Catholic priest) and as good as the players are it threatens to derail things by making the tone seem more playful than it is. A good double feature w/Detention, because they are both extremely divisive movies.

BTW...just noticed, The Theater Bizaare is on Netflix. If you want to see a decent horror anthology...check it out.

Hurm. Head scratcher. About what I expected...but just wanted something more. Unpleasant. Just kind of predictable. It made me actually look up anopthelmia and I think I get the ending a bit better now. Ok...yeah I do.

Really?? For me, it was utterly forgettable. Literally. As in, I know I saw it, but I can't remember anything about it. At all. Not who was in it or hardly a single plot point. Some guys did something. Somebody got dunked in water, somebody gets it at the end, rock'n roll dude in an apartment he is some guy's kid.... Yeah, that about sums up my entire recollection of that flick. LSTB is, on the other hand, one of my favorite movies to watch when I can't think of what to watch. I loooove that movie.

Felt kinda the same way about Seven Psychopaths. Meh. I was really hoping for a lot more.

But... the famous Archie slap!! I really liked the movie myself.

Last movie I watched was Slammin Salmon. If you liked Super Troopers, you'll love it.

Much better than the 2nd, good family action/comedy flick

Quirky indie flick with a great script, the movie is centered around the lead Aubrey Plaza interacting with a man who is looking for someone else to travel back in time. Very Recommended

Funny low budget zombie-horror that drags in the middle, smartly avoided CGI for the most part.
