Thread: Last Movie Watched

I really enjoyed this movie. It was a good story involving the Russian mafia - it makes me want to pick up the book, if there is one. Viggo Mortensen was fantastic...especially in the naked fight. That was aces.


Finally saw this. It was really cute.

Toshiro Mifune's fourth and final portrayal of the Yojimbo character. Also stars Shintaro Katsu (the original Zatoichi).

I wasn't too impressed with the first half of the film, but it picks up a lot towards the end. Great movie.

The movie was ok...not as good as I had hoped or as I have heard. Quite frankly the main character killed it for me. The chick was so goddamn cliche. She is that non-feminine, foul mouth chick who is so incredibly smart and wise beyond her years that she espouses sarcasm left and right. Yeah, like I haven't seen that before. Also, it's like they stole Gilmour Girl scripts for nearly every scene she was in. The sharp witicisms rolled off her tongue much too easily for your average 16 year old.

I give the movie 3 1/2 stars out of 5.

I used to be married and my ex-wife loved that show. I boycotted it because of the way every damn character spoke at a mile a minute rate and I also know this because it was parodied in Family Guy.

Hopefully my answer doesn't do too much damage to the 'gay insinuation' crack you just tried to take at me.

3:10 to Yuma

Not nearly as good as the hype. Wasted $30 in my opinion.

I liked Viggo and his character, was kinda meh on the rest of the movie.


Damn good. Bale and Crowe were excellent.


Good job by Lumet revealing details of the events by jumping around with the timeline. Hoffman was excellent.
