Ok, the Theme thing is going to be too hard to keep. It's going to be time consuming to come up with 5 new every time and keeping it to a theme is going to be too constricting. Remember only one film will be chosen. The other four are carried over with a new fifth added to replace the chosen one the next month. And Doc, not all the films are going to be agreeable to everyone. I happen to be a big fan of Zac & Miri, and as I pointed out earlier, if we all LIKE the movie this will get tired fast. A naysayer like yourself would add so much more to the conversation by actually presenting your case. See, that's the key folks...a simple 'that sucked' or 'that was great' really isn't going to do very much for this conversation. We have a lot of strong opinions here and you guys need to bring it.

No see...that's what makes it a great movie for the monthly. Unlike Full Metal Jacket(c'mon who can present a convincing ANTI argument there) Z&M is one of those movies that will generated POLAR opinions. We are going to go by popular vote but please, keep this in mind when voting. The more obvious(good or bad) the movie is, the more obvious the opinions are going to be.

I love that movie, too. However, I bet there's a few that can't stand it.

Well, we generate the discussion. Hopefully not long monologues or bombastic attacks on each other.

I'm almost of the opinion that it should be one movie, only. A lot less ground to cover and posts to sift through to reply. But, whatever......

Please, save your opinions/votes until I can get the poll up proper...oh and opinions until we start the discussion.

Remember
1 week for voting
1 week for folks to watch/rewatch
and 2 weeks for full contact arguments.

the Four that do not get chosen get rolled over and a fifth will be added.

Remember, any suggestions for tweaks to the format are appreciated and will be considered. But simple complaints will be solidly ignored. I have tried to make this as democratic as possible, but in the end...the judges(Myself/Nasti/Hipcheck) will have to be firm but fair to keep this on point.
