I would like to clarify about the theme idea jd. Not so specific to say "Films that Twin Peaks era David Lynch would like", but more like "80's Comedy" or "Mob Movies". At least that way you get some particular genre that everyone is on the same page for. Up to you. Just thinking of ways to make it more interactive.
Also, I'd like to add Bronson and Seven Pounds as two movies that people will either enjoy or despise. For the record, I absolutely hate one of them. Won't get into which or why, but both of those movies can elicit some hate and emotion.
Yeah but every time we watch 1 the other 4 previous nominees do not disappear, we just add 1 more for the next month, so a theme would be almost impossible to keep in a rotation like that. Unless my Nyquil haze is clouding the rotation that JD proposed?
Can we have this thread be somewhat "Ultra moderated"?
If we're doing this I'd love to have posts that look something like this be completely disallowed
Since this a collective effort by a bunch of us to actually have interesting conversations where we exchange ideas and opinions... just seems like it would be nice...It was great but it needed more (insert non-sequitur here)
Ok, like I said, all valid suggestions will be considered. I will try to hammer out some compromise and present it to you guys regarding the rotation/theme ideas. I still think that a theme is limiting but I will see what I can figure out. My biggest problem with a theme is that it is going to elicit sub arguments, 'How can you put that in there...'(t.w.s.s.) and more along those lines. I'll work on it.

Hey JD, I nominate Teeth for future polls. With all the movies that many guys watch where a female is brutalized and raped, I think y'all need to suck it up and start seeing some penis mutilation in your movies more often. :D
See...now there is a THEME. All five movies with penis interruptus. That deserves consideration.
Here's a balloon to float, all those in favor of a theme...how about every 4th month we clear the leftovers and go with a strictly themed poll. That way it won't get old and the five choices have a solid chance at getting picked. After the themed month we come back with a new set of non-related five? Feedback???
