I like this, but does that mean that the 5th movie picked for the 3rd month gets cleared out even though it's only been up for one month?

I guess that's ok as long as the cleared out films can still be re-nominated.

I will refine the idea...we may make the last nominated flick a carryover. But yeah, I don't think that any films other than the ones that win a month are not eligible for re-nom.

I like that idea. Keeps it fresh and has an event like feel to it. If "that" theme were to get taken, I'd add Hard Candy onto that list along with Old Boy.

If you do go with a theme how about John Cusack movies. Otherwise i nominate Labrynth.

I gotta keep a running list. I think for now when we do the 'theme' month it'll be an actual theme, not simply all of these things is just like the other kind of thing. Feedback???

For example The Penis interruptus thread where it can be five very different movies with a linking idea...as opposed to War Movies, or Kubrick Movies etc. We want to keep it open to everyone and while you may dig Cusack(and i do too) if someone doesn't they are going to tap out instead of voting for a movie within the group that they may want to see. But that's not for another few months so we'll work it out.

As far as the nominations, hold off for a bit folks...we have a ton so far and I need to get em in order. Thanks.

May be a little harder to find than most flicks but all nominations are valid...and talk about a movie taking folks out of their comfort zones and inspiring discussion. Besides, popular vote is probably going to prevent a movie like this from winning...so, relax.

as for themes, maybe the 1st post of the thread should have a running list of all the themes we come up with. then we just pull from it monthly and cross off what's been used.
