This friggin respiratory infection finally gave in enough and I was able to get out and see this yesterday. Is it perfect? Hell no. Was it disapointing, not in the least. Never has a trailer so captured a movie that delivered as promised. Minor quibbles...The Rza could have put down the bong long enough to emote, even @ an hour and a half it could have been tightened up and more consistent in tone. But Russell Crowe hasn't been as fun in a long time, the costumes/wire fighting were absolutely stunning, and the main villain was scene chewing enough to put Nic Cage to shame. I had a smile on my face throughout this whole movie. Pure guilty pleasure and minus the hiphop references it transported me back to Saturday afternoons of my childhood and Kung Fu Theater, which showed Master of the Flying Guillotine every third weekend. You know if you are the audience for this...if you are, go see it.
