Thread: A Materpiece of Pop Music

Was on my lunchtime walk I do at work to clear my head and recharge/refocus and was listening to the MP3 on shuffle when this song came on. Ive heard it 1000s of times but never with the headphones. The more I listened to the nuances and the production value I realized this song in masterpiece of pop music.



Listen to the guitars, the creativity with the cymbals, the sultry vocals. Amazing Song and hard to believe its over 30 years old. Any musicians want to debate this? Bring it on.

The Pretenders are all around awesome in general.

I just like the tasty use of the cymbals at the start....kinda sounds like he is doing a nice little double time thing with the cymbals that i find appealing. Granted he's no Neil Peart but it compliments the vibe of the song IMO. Listen to it with a better quality recording and with the head phones....production value is tastefully done as well.

Coulda picked an actual performance clip and not a tv show with everyone lip-syncing to a prerecorded track. It is a good tune though.
