I remember reading the book as a kid and later reading it to my kids.

Next to 'The Giving Tree' it was the single most resonant book in my childhood. And, to this day, both of those books have the power to move me to tears. Just as relevant to me as an adult as well. If you have a child, even in this day of over-stimulation, it is one of the simple joys that you NEED to introduce them too. Even this world needs quieter moments.

We just watched the movie again on ABCFamily this past weekend. My kids love it.

'And now, cried Max, let the wild rumpus start!'
