Download's last two albums, Fixer and Helicopter, previously only available directly from Subconscious mail order, are now being re-released for wider availability via Metropolis Records. The new edition of Helicopter has been augmented with three new tracks comprising Wookie Wall. These songs, recorded by cEvin Key and Phil Western in advance of the Subcon Beyond Fest tour and debuted at the live shows, have never been otherwise released. Both albums feature updated artwork.

M83 Tease New Album

M83 mastermind Anthony Gonzalez has shared a pretty great teaser video for the new M83 album on his website. It features a scant minute-and-a-half of what may be a song from the album. But if you're the type to get excited about a new M83 album, this video should do it.

Nirvana's Nevermind 20th Anniversary Celebrated with Deluxe Reissue Box Set

The box will consist of four CDs and one DVD, including rarities, B-sides, unreleased recordings, and BBC radio appearances. The DVD will feature an entire unreleased live show. According to Spin, those BBC appearances are "most likely from four in-studio sessions recorded between 1989 and 1991," including sessions for John Peel and Mark Goodier. Spin also reports that Universal will continue to celebrate the Nevermind anniversary with "various events and releases" throughout the year

Boris: "Hope/ Riot Sugar" (Video)

Boris have put out two albums, Heavy Rocks and Attention Please, in the last few months, and instead of promoting them apart, the band is promoting them together. Here's a video for "Hope" and "Riot Sugar," songs off each album, a clip that starts with some quiet singing and a slow-falling dress, followed by a monstrous live performance and then cuts back to the sweet stuff. It's a good mashup between the sounds on the two new Boris albums, in the most direct way possible.

for those Snow Patrol fans...

i just got word this weekend that the new album is NOT full band and promises to be heavily electronic. apparently more in-line with what they started doing with the their first album but the label kicked off on it.

it's been a long time since they've released a proper album. that best of came out two years ago... it'll be interesting to see how Mr. Lightbody handles what can quite possibly be alienation of the larger portion of his fanbase.

Will still buy her new album when it comes out.
