Watch: Jonny Greenwood, Aphex Twin Perform With Krzysztof | Prefixmag
Videos at the link.If you've been keeping up with the music news these past few days, you might have read that Aphex Twin and Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood were hanging out together in Wroclaw, Poland this past weekend. While they were there, they met with composer Krzysztof Penderecki, known best for his 1960 composition Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima.
They then all proceeded to hit the stage together Friday and Saturday night for some absolutely rad reinterpretations of Penderecki's material with the assistance of an orchestra. They performed some of his original work, too, though the video that has surfaced of the event focuses on Greenwood and Aphex Twin's new takes on the composer's famous works.

Historically that could mean ****ing 10 years. [Laughs] We're only ever going to release something that we feel comfortable with or else it's not worth releasing basically."
He said back in July that a new Portishead album long and arduous process:
"We tend to disappear into a studio for a long long time and sometimes it can get pretty dark which in a way is a part of the creative process, it's part of what makes us make the music we do, the kind of world we create around us. This is making it different, we'll be playing live shows around it that might have a good influence on it, I'm hoping that it does, I'm quite excited about the whole thing."
