Nine Inch Nails Remixed by Oneohtrix Point Never, Todd Rundgren, Genesis P-Orridge for Hesitation Marks Deluxe Edition | News | Pitchfork

Oneohtrix Point Never does a version of "Find My Way", Todd Rundgren takes on "All Time Low", while Breyer P-Orridge (aka Genesis P-Orridge of Throbbing Gristle/Psychic TV) does a "Howler" remix of "While I'm Still Here".

The deluxe edition also features a mysterious track labeled "Trent Reznor in Conversation With..." But we don't know who the conversation is with quite yet.
I haven't been too hot on anything Reznor's done in a while, but for some reason I'm looking forward to this album.

Nirvana In Utero Reissue Tracklist Revealed | News | Pitchfork

The first disc contains a remaster of the original LP, mixed by Albini save for the Scott Litt-mixed "Heart-Shaped Box" and "All Apologies". Albini's mixes of those tracks will be on disc one, as will time-appropriate B-sides, rarities, Litt's single mix of "Pennyroyal Tea", and more. Disc two features a new "2013 album mix" of In Utero plus demos, rehearsal recordings, and "Forgotten Tune", a newly found instrumental rehearsal track. Disco two also includes Dave Grohl's 1990 demo of the B-side "Marigold", which Rolling Stone calls "his first ever solo recording."

The third CD features the 1993 MTV "Live & Loud" concert at Seattle's Pier 48. The show, plus outtakes, is included on the DVD, which also features footage from the In Utero Euro tour and an extended version of the "Heart-Shaped Box" music video.

The reissue includes reproductions of the lyrics handwritten by Cobain, as well as a four-page note from Albini, written to the band before the recording of In Utero. The comedian Bobcat Goldthwait, who toured with Nirvana during In Utero, wrote liner notes as well.
Not clear if this is going to be the untouched, original Albini mix, which is something I would like to have.

Joy Division, New Order Rare Tapes Rescued From Trash | News | Pitchfork

As Slicing Up Eyeballs reports, Adamson posted an image to Facebook on Monday of what she claims are boxes of lost tapes of Hannett's, "rescued" from a trash bin. They contain original masters and outtakes from his work in the late 70s and 80s, Adamson says, including one box marked "Joy Division Outtakes" and five more marked "Joy Division" or "New Order". According to Adamson, the collection includes a copy of the original master tapes for Unknown Pleasures.

    New Tweaker release!

    Call the Time Eternity

Metropolis Mail-Order // call the time eternity

Chris Vrenna garnered a name for himself in the early days of Nine Inch Nails, and then later producing or co-producing various artists (including Marilyn Manson, Rasputina, Xzibit, Lords of Acid) and providing remixes for U2 & Weezer (among others), and soundtrack work. In 2001, for example, Vrenna composed the dark, eerie instrumental soundtrack of American McGee's Alice. And it was also in 2001 that Vrenna unveiled his tweaker project. Best described as a blend of alternative pop/rock and electronica, tweaker blends an intriguing mix of influences and atmospheres. Dark and moody, call the time eternity is an electronic fever dream ride through a late night breakdown. Machine gun staccato percussion blends and churns with strings and synths to create a cohesive piece of work.

Awesome. I keep seeing him drumming for other people and always wondered if he was ever going to do some more Twaeker stuff.
