    Default Never Watched Clockwork

So I need to preface this. Family is away and have always wanted to watch this Kubrick film and have never done so. This is quite extreme or a quite an example of a 60's film but what do you subject from Kubrick????!!!. The "Singing In the Rain" was really incredible. McDowell got a role of a lifetime. Overall I am quite impressed on the first 20 mins but I am quite hammered on Quiness and Jameson's. Cheers my brothers and go KINGS!!

^Agreed, loved the book. I'd suggest reading the version that doesn't have the extra chapter, to me it took a lot away from the book's power.

Good on you my Brother...but why'd it take so long? Clockwork has to be one of my all-time fave movies and the perfect example of a movie that could never and should never be duplicated. Imagine the 2011 take. Bratty emo punk, overfed on video game/tv violence 'learns lesson' on some combination reality show/prison. Subtract the subversive atitude and the wit and add more handheld shaky cams. Just a shining example of why IDIOCRACY is not a comedy, but a historical document.

You should. Why not? You don't like Kubrick(I understand)? Not a fan of the ultra-violence(I understand). Still, it's a tremendous adaptation of a classic book and it has one of the singular best performances ever by an actor(i.m.o.), as a fan of movies you should at least give it a go.

I thought A Clockwork Orange was one of those things that everyone watches as a teenager out of curiosity.

I wrote a paper on it in high school. Hahaha! I wish that I still had it somewhere.

No particular reason. I've just never seen it, not do I feel particularly compelled to go out of my way to find it.

I mean, I'd never seen any of The Godfathers until a few years ago. Only reason I ended up watching them was because they were on AMC or something, so I just asked my friend if I could borrow them then I watched them over a weekend or something.
