Continuing the effort to limit the number of threads as best as can be done.

U.S. Trailer and Poster for the German Vampire Movie We are the Night | BeyondHollywood.com

From the looks (and sounds) of the trailer, it appears they’ve dubbed the film for Stateside consumption, which is probably a bad idea.
****ing got that right. I was looking forward to this (kinda) because of images like this:

But if it's dubbed, I'll pass and maybe I'll rent the DVD sometime.

First Teaser Poster For Nacho Vigalondo’s Extraterrestrial Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

    From the director of Timecrimes.

Everyone knows what to do if one morning the sky would be absolutely full of UFOs: run as fast as you can. However, what would happen if the invasion started while you are in the flat of the girl of your dreams, the one you have just met?

Early Buzz and Clips From Pedro Almodovar’s ‘The Skin I Live In’

Based on Thierry Jonquet‘s novel Tarantula (aka Mygale), the story follows an ambitious plastic surgeon (Banderas) whose wife was burned in an accident, leading him to attempt to synthesize a new, superior form of human skin. The picture seems like a weird medical horror/thriller story, and indeed, at the film’s press conference, the director said, “It’s a thriller indeed because it fits in with my life at present. Throughout my career as a director, I’ve worked in different genres—comedy, drama and now I’m in a thriller period. Through thrillers, you can touch on other types of genre. I don’t think it’s completely necessary to stick to the rules of a type of genre like people naively did in the ‘50s.”
High hopes for this one, although initial word is that it's ok, but not great.

Vincent Cassel Teams With Costa-Gavras For Financial World Drama ‘Le Capital’ > The Playlist

Cineurope reports that Cassel is set to team with legendary filmmaker Costa-Gavras (”Z,” “Missing”) for the financial world drama “Le Capital.” Unlike recent films like “Too Big To Fail,” “Margin Call” or “Inside Job,” this project will expand it’s scope well beyond the borders of the United States taking “a behind-the-scenes look at the higher echelons of the banking world, where the thirst for money and power is masked as managerial rationality. Here we move in the circles of the economic elite and the international jet set between Paris, London, New York, Davos and Tokyo, basking in the artificial paradise of drugs, the artificial images of the Internet, the artificial bubble of fleeting fortunes, the artificial time of different time zones and artificial sex fueled by wild fantasies.” So kind of like a “Babel” for the banking world?
