One of the most versatile actors of our time; the only actor I can think of with greater range is Gary Oldman. Even as anti-Hollywood as I am, this is a great loss.

For those who haven't seen it, a slightly lesser known film, "Before the Devil Knows you're Dead" is a pretty good flick.

No a great loss is his three kids that apparently had a junky for a dad. If you're doing something that you know can kill you, and you have kids but do it anyway, then it's not a great loss. Obviously he was an idiot and a selfish junky.

Did not know he was a dad. You know...I spent the afternoon feeling sad about this news and it slowly got replaced by anger. We all have our vices that we indulge that are slowly killing us...but this seems like such a shameful waste. And now to hear he had children. Jesus man...get your act together. You have kids, you no longer get to be a child. It's why I never had kids. Just a sickening loss.

He was a fine actor, for sure. And that's where his legacy ends. His kids are the saddest part of the story, without a doubt, but the man had responsibilities to a lot of people in the business end of the Hollywood world as well. A movie in mid-production, etc etc…all a waste now…lots of money down the drain and lots of other people's lives affected all because he was incredibly irrationally and unethically selfish.
Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Bullets are cheap. Life is priceless.
