Ok, it's been a long time coming. And I apologize to those of you who work there and frequent this forum. I wish you no ill will, but I can no longer justify supporting your store.
So...WAAAAAAAAH we are Best Buy and we are getting our asses handed to us by AMAZON...a mail order service. We shall combat that by keeping our prices high and virtually eliminating cd/dvd sales(minus the brand new stuff...well, more on that in a minute). I do not buy many big ticket items and when I do I tend to NOT use Best Buy, unless it is a sale or I need it right away. I have counted on them for my cd/dvd needs for years. I liked being able to buy immediately and their rewards program, etc.
My dissatisfaction started a few weeks ago. The new Motorhead was due in store. They advertised in their circular and it even was supposed to have exclusive content. When I got to the WeHo store...no gots. Sorry, we can order it for you...
WHY would I order it from you? I have Amazon/Prime and I do not pay shipping. Also, their prices are always the same or, in most cases LOWER. I was severely let down by this and haven't been back till today.
I walk in the door and things have changed. The entire layout of the store has been redone to heighten cell phone sales. Even their TV section seemed to have been toned down to allow this. I had to actively seek out the poorly kept Dvd/Blu section (except for the well kept new release section) and the cd section, when I found it, looked like the shelves at Ross where stuff is just arranged Black Friday hurricane style. I will save time from now on just ordering online from Amazon and getting it on my doorstep. SOmewhere...Circuit City/Book stores are laughing and holding you a spot in the where are they now section.
