As long as they don't remake Psycho...
Oh, wait!![]()
I posted a Carrie remake link on the Stephen King thread and I am pretty sure the article I posted actually had a Fox-recommend from King hisself. I dunno, you simply aren't going to top the original film, which King himself admits was better than his book.

Here's the quote
“I’ve heard rumblings about a Carrie remake, as I have about The Stand and It. Who knows if it will happen? The real question is why, when the original was so good? I mean, not Casablanca, or anything, but a really good horror-suspense film, much better than the book. Piper Laurie really got her teeth into the bad-mom thing. Although Lindsay Lohan as Carrie White… hmmm. It would certainly be fun to cast. I guess I could get behind it if they turned the project over to one of the Davids: Lynch or Cronenberg.”
The Devil is not surprised. Look, at this point Carrie is such a non starter for younguns. As old folks we cannot be surprised/angry when the STUDIOS try to rebrand/restart/reboot beloved franchises. It is what it is. Adgy has faith...I don't. Sure, every once in a while, squirrel finds a nut, and they find a way to top the source material(sorry everyone, but Zac Snyders Dawn of the Dead remake was the most recent), but for the most part, they find a way to make new tee shirts for sale at Hot Topic, whilst giving us dinosaurs cause to complain. There will be a Scarface/Godfather/Jaws remake...it's just business.
