I'm going to remain semi-optimistic about the Carrie remake for the moment, based solely on the people involved, but if they're going to just do a retread... I don't think it's going to work too well.
Unlike RoboCop where they're taking the idea and spinning it on it's head.
Yeah well, I think the Carrie remake(made by women) is gonna go that route and play up the feminist angle so theres something there. I'm in your camp on the Robocop remake...think it has a good shot. How do you feel about the videodrome remake(info on the Cronenberg thread)?
I know this if it's still gonna be found footage, you might have to count me out. You know some people say that they cannot watch 3D? I have a hard time doing found footage, lol, because I have motion sickness.
V/H/S made me dizzy, and I still can't get through REC. Meh. Well, the later isn't really found footage is it, but it's hand held type of thing.
And I wanted Jodie Foster as Mrs. White. :P
Just because, lol. :P

I assuming that JD only asked Adgy about that Videodrome remake.
Because you really don't want to know what I think!![]()
Lol!

Well, that's unfortunate.Variety‘s Jeff Sneider tweeted the news, stressing that Laurie had never finalized his deal. “While he was never officially confirmed, sources telling Variety that HUGH LAURIE has ended talks to play villain in ROBOCOP,” Sneider wrote. “HUGH LAURIE definitely out of ROBOCOP reboot, not that he was ever ‘in.’”
