Sleepers. Not a ton of killing but a great movie, one of my favorites.

Payback. Another really good movie.

Just thought of a good one Doc...The Exterminator. Great slice of '80's almost Grindhouse exploitation. It's pretty grimy but 'feel-good-y' as well.

Some good ones already listed. I'll add:

Straw Dogs (the original, not very feel-good, but one of the best movies. Also, haven't seen the re-make but I hear good things).
Gladiator
