well unfortunately keeping things "safe" is what also keeps them in business
someone posted about monster squad the other day, so i went back and watched it with the roomies. relatively "unsafe" movie. fred dekker says it killed his career. (besides the fact his comeback was robocop 3 and it got killed again...)
Dekker made Night of the Creeps too. Monster Squad and NOTC are BELOVED! Dekker may have had his career shortened, but in the meantime he made 2 movies that will always remind folks that he had a career. I don't know if that helps him sleep better/pay his bills, but at least the guy made movies that he can be proud of. Robocop 3 was horrible bordering on unwatchable. I would blame that more than anything else.Quote:
