One, I just don't think that part of the experience should be lining up and hoping you get a ticket for next year four times for 8-15 hours depending on how committed you are. Quite frankly, if you have to wait in line at 5am to get a ticket, something is wrong from the get go. It should be a lot more organized, and it can be. Wholeheartedly agree about their infrastructure though. That needs to be addressed.
Two, if you needed a pass to get in, the funneling of people makes it much easier to accomplish. There aren't 6k people going in and out of each panel currently, but there's several hundred. It could be done. It's done at other conventions and I have no doubt it could be accomplished there. I just know there's a better way than it is currently. You're right in saying you're not going to see everything you want to see. However, you should be able to see more than you do.
