never saw Zack and Miri and HATED A Clockwork Orange. I cancelled my Netflix and have no way to watch movies anymore. it bums me out.

no, i'm pretty serious with this one. i wanted to like it but when it was over i felt totally screwed since there was so much hype about it. did not care for it.

The first time I saw it I didn't like it either. To this day, even though I can appreciate it and have seen it several times, I would not necessarily classify watching it as being "enjoyable" in the traditional sense of the word.

See, I told you guys that there were gonna be people that were not as charmed by Clockwork as some of us are. Especially at the time it came out, it was a very divisive movie.

CO is not an "enjoyable" movie. Watching it is almost like taking a drug that takes you to places that you'd rather not be. Although, I have the same aversion to the film version of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" Way too dark for me to see. I can't get past the first 5 minutes of it.

Anyway, CO does make the trip interesting. McDowell is outstanding. Mick Jagger was considered but they wisely went with McDowell. Kubrick's direction, the sets, the costumes, the music, the adaptation....all outstanding, to me anyway.
