'In Bruges' was a film that didn't get anywhere near as much love as it deserved, mostly because of horrible marketing. I thought it was great and it made me appreciate Colin Farrell in a way I never thought possible.

Anyone reading this, who has not seen In Bruges, Adgy is 100% correct on this. Not only is it a very brilliant flick with terrific acting all around, but Colin Farrell really does excel. And as someone else who really didn't give a rat's ass about him it was enough to make me a solid fan and now when I see him attached to something I am automatically interested.

Ooof and you know Mickey is gonna go all method and imagine that soemone actually kidnapped one of his beloved dogs. Someone may get hurt. But yeah, Farrell/Walken/Roarke and Rockwell...that's almost too many cool actors in one place.

Well, sadly looks like Mickey isn't doing this after all. Also looks like he is starting to forget how easy it is to slide back down to the bottom again. Love him as an actor, but the guy really seems to be his own worst enemy.

still wish it coulda been Mickey. Oh well, I have developed a taste for Woody Harrelson...he is a lot smarter than I thought he was.

If I have any complaint, it would just be that the film doesn't have a deeper emotional resonance. Still, when you're playing a self-aware game like this, that's not really the point. It's a well-crafted film, and if you're willing to play the game that McDonagh's laid out, it's a really rewarding experience.
