holy s***, i gotta go dig through a box tomorrow to find my copy now.
The Star Wars Republic series is great. It's an 83 comic run with story arks that last 1 to 6 or 7 issues. I found #55-59, an ark called "The Last Stand on Jabim" to be particularly memorable. I'd avoid anything with Quinlan Vos in it. I don't know why, but the writers had a big hard on for him and I never understood why. The Rebellion series is also very good, and it has the bonus of featuring 'classic era' like Luke Skywalker.

Have You Seen The Surfing Trooper?
He’s a stormtrooper on vacation from the Empire who’s surfing around the world.
Visit Surfing Trooper to see photos of his travel adventures so far and be on the lookout for him in your area. You never know when and where he’ll show up!
Chances are, he’ll have a surfboard, but even when he doesn’t, the pics are great, like this one — probably my favorite one of his travels thus far — where he goes to kick some hobbit ass in Hobbiton in New Zealand!!!
George Lucas Helps Scholars for 'Star Wars and History' - NYTimes.com

The events in “Star Wars,” the opening credits reveal, happened “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.” But did similar events happen before?
That is the question posed by “Star Wars and History,” a book planned for 2013 by the publisher John Wiley & Sons. In an e-mail posted in June, Nancy Reagin, a history professor at Pace University, and Janice Liedl, an associate professor of history at Laurentian University in Ontario, asked their peers to submit essays that explore the parallels between world history and Star Wars history.

Joe Johnston Wants to Make Films Featuring Marvel’s Winter Soldier and Boba Fett
Seems like an obvious idea, but would it happen?Quote:
I’m trying to get George [Lucas] to make a feature based on Boba Fett…I would like to [direct the film], it would be a lot of fun.
George Lucas was instrumental in getting Joe Johnston into the film business, giving him early breaks as a designer on the first Star Wars films, where Johnston helped create designs for many of the now-iconic aspects of the franchise. So the notion that he might get the chance to direct a film specifically about Boba Fett isn’t outlandish, even if it is nothing more than a wishlist idea right now.
