The Star Wars Republic series is great. It's an 83 comic run with story arks that last 1 to 6 or 7 issues. I found #55-59, an ark called "The Last Stand on Jabim" to be particularly memorable. I'd avoid anything with Quinlan Vos in it. I don't know why, but the writers had a big hard on for him and I never understood why. The Rebellion series is also very good, and it has the bonus of featuring 'classic era' like Luke Skywalker.Originally Posted by adgy-san

That is the question posed by “Star Wars and History,” a book planned for 2013 by the publisher John Wiley & Sons. In an e-mail posted in June, Nancy Reagin, a history professor at Pace University, and Janice Liedl, an associate professor of history at Laurentian University in Ontario, asked their peers to submit essays that explore the parallels between world history and Star Wars history.

Though the initial teaser art had indicated that it would hit this fall, an updated press release reveals that it will debut even sooner. Entitled "LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace," the standalone adventure will air at 7pm on July 22nd.

George Lucas was instrumental in getting Joe Johnston into the film business, giving him early breaks as a designer on the first Star Wars films, where Johnston helped create designs for many of the now-iconic aspects of the franchise. So the notion that he might get the chance to direct a film specifically about Boba Fett isn’t outlandish, even if it is nothing more than a wishlist idea right now.
