Not sure how I feel about this. First album is a genuine Brit rock classic. Second album is a let down but not nearly as awful as I've heard some make it out to be. I did see them live at their last L.A date in 1996 (post-Remi). Ian Brown just cannot bring it live. BUT... I'm still there for any new dates in the area! kicking:
If they do come down here, hopefully it's not ONLY Coachella.
Well, that's the scuttle they'll do it. But it looks like those Manc dates they've already announced are post-Coachella. Hard for me to believe they'd do any dates before that but GoldenVoice may throw them a big enough wad of cash to make it happen. My guess is they'd do US dates and probably hit a space like the Greek Theater in the LA area.

I like the second album, clearly not as good as the first but still a great album and yet another example of the ahole british press. Had the second album not been the Stone Roses but Johnny and the Schleptones they would have heralded them as the years best new act.

Ned's is still playing but they haven't released anything new in 15 years or so. But they were great. "Are You Normal?" (2nd release) is a good record.Quote:

Heaton Park shows went on sale this morning. They added one more for three shows total there. 225,000 seats. £60 a ticket. All sold out in one hour. :shocked:

This is phenomal here in the UK.
I am here for few days off before I go back home to LA.
I know they are big here and made some noise in the states but I really undersold them
in the UK.
They are a generational thing in the UK and most of the people I know here in the UK are in the target
audience .
They sold out all their announced gigs in the UK and most of my friends here bought extra to sell on ebay as the date
gets closer.
In their heads the profit will go towards paying for transit and hotels as they have multiple gigs booked and
stuff is ****ing crazy expensive in the UK.
I hope to see them in LA or Coahcella in 2012.
If you like "Brit' rock get those Coachella tix.
i'm gonna be pissed if all they do is Coachella and don't have any other L.A. dates (at least) planned.
by the way... i liked Second Coming.
