In the Nineties, movies like Judgment Night, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers and The Crow were accompanied by hugely popular soundtracks – though latey, many films' soundtracks have seemed like afterthoughts. Not so for Zack Snyder's new film Sucker Punch – about five women trying to escape from an insane asylum –whose assortment of covers, remixes and mash-ups, many of which feature contributions from the cast, were consciously assembled as an "event soundtrack."

That's a fair assessment and I love all those st's. It really is a good cd.

And SmytheKing, I was lukewarm to Tron based on what I saw in the trailers. Visually, from the get-go, I was on the fence. So yeah, the word of mouth coming back where even the supporters of the flick were almost apologizing for the plot, put me firmly on the 'save my $$$' side of the fence. But Tron wasn't visually pleasing enough to win my dollar, that's the bottom line.

Look. Ignore the reviews. They are all going to blast this for being what it is. A giant ball of visual amazement with just enough story to classify it as a movie. Which pretty much sums up almost every summertime popcorn flick. Critics are salivating over how they can crucify this movie and how they can write 'clever' things. I'm sure the visuals and effects are stunning, I just don't like how it's just objectifying the characters. It makes me sad to think the word "steampunk" is associated with a movie that has chicks tarted up if not primarily for a male audience.

Adgy will be getting nothing but dirty looks from me after he comes back from watching this.

It depends on what you're going into it for. Some people, yeah, will go for the T&A factor. But not everyone. You going to think less of all the movie critics who go and see it for their website, too?

Nope, just the guys who are going for the T & A factor. I really shouldn't be surprised. Put a bunch of tits on the screen of the stupidest movie ever (and I'm not saying Sucker Punch is this) and I'm sure it'll be top 10 in the box office.

The critics have to go because it's their job.
