Also, ges, very nice. I have a small handful of vinyl that I used to buy only because it was cheap and I was the type of person who would buy anything by an artist I really liked. Maybe I'll take pictures of it next time I'm at my parents house.

That is a pretty sweet bundle. Also saw you debating on your facebook about the new Death Cab, i say buy the 2xLP. Most new vinyl releases these days come with a download card and if not just bootleg it (like im currently doing), you've already paid for the album in some form.

ya, the only thing i'm hesitating about is that it's black vinyl for $25. i'm not 100% sold on the "ooh ahh" factor of 180 gram. also, most of the time when i see less popular bands i like put out black 180g, it's like half the price.

the good thing with the death cab LP package is that it comes with a digital download. amazon is selling it for $19, but i don't know if the digital download comes with it. (i don't know how to bootleg unless friends send it to me, lol).

there's a bunch of people on the vinyl collective board who are waiting on it because of the price, too. i was wondering what your input would be though. i'll think about it some more.

that rival schools package was way sweeter. the shipping was ridiculous though, it was like $12!

i have bauhaus - burning from the inside both original release and 180g. i should test em and see if i notice the difference. i recorded a track from it but youtube blocked it!

well it is also a 2xlp, so i dont think thats that bad, but yeah the $25 price tag would have me being hesitant, its not like it will be a limited release, so you may be able to grab it at a lower price down the road. I like 180g gate-fold releases though.

I would expect the amazon release to come with the digital download as well, usually its just a business card type coupon that comes in the sleeve w/ a download code.

ouch, $12 for shipping? always go media mail if available, its generally only 4 bucks.

oh trust me, i do. it wasn't an option though.

the fact that it's not a limited release is exactly one of the factors. i'm probably going to go with amazon if i decide to get the vinyl.

maybe they'll release something limited edition later on with the 2nd pressing or something. that's what happened with that JEW "bleed american" release and that's why everyone was turning around and flipping their black vinyls.

nice acquisitions. i have pinback's "blue screen life" on vinyl that i picked up at one of their shows and it sounds really nice on my record player.

debating on pulling the trigger on this, like lunchie, the price tag has me being hesitant and its not 180g either. Its a recent re-pressing that i think is limited to 2000

i poked around and that seems to be a good price for what it is. people on discogs are selling it for more and amazon is pretty comparable (a little more and i don't know if you get free shipping with it since it's through independent sellers). depends on how bad you want it, i guess.

that's the thing with the death cab release. i enjoyed it upon first listen and know it'll grow on me even more, but i can't decide if it's special enough for vinyl yet. :)

not what you're likely willing to pay... particularly for the history behind the Ministry 12" alone... and as for the 242 flexi, yeah, there aren't many of those around.

if you're really interested in either, i'm sure you could find both on the discogs marketplace for next to nothing.
