I wish it was on color, but the 5" vinyl sounds cool. I love everything Flogging Molly has put out, listening to this album now to see if this album stands up to the rest of the their catalog before i decide on buying it or not.
so are you going to get it? i used to love flogging molly a lot & went to all their socal shows. i stopped "buying" after "within a mile of home"... by that i mean, i used to get their CDs and get into shows for free from sideonedummy. they stopped sending me stuff after i stopped doing show reviews and posting news. :( i think part of the interest in them for me died when i stopped going to their shows, because that was what i found most fun about their music. i'll have to look up how long ago it was, but i think it was 2001, i saw them at the casbah in SD and it was so awesome how everyone was singing along to "delilah" while passing around and drinking whiskey and guinness. probably one of the best shows i've ever been to.

fack, i just looked at that dude on vinyl collective that was selling his JEW RSD set and it's gone gone gone. the only one on his list that's gone, in fact.

I've heard a couple of songs from Pedals & I wasn't really impressed. Very average. Great musicians, however.

The video for that song is pretty stupid.

i was mostly interested in the daryl palumbo remix since i like glassjaw and head automatica.
it being rival schools is just a bonus. and then it's a limited clear vinyl release. /nerd.

just watched the video. i think the video is so so, but i still like the song. i've heard that one and "shot after shot". rival schools, to me, has kind of followed the same timeline in music as FAR. you can tell they've definitely aged and don't rock nearly as hardcore as they used to ~20 yrs ago.

edit: oh and ian, at least that JEW album is coming down in price. i'm seeing it go for ~$100 or less now on the re-sell sites instead of $300 as it did when it first came out.

The way you're spending these days, I am surprised Mr. Box hasn't put you on a budget yet. $20 a week.

I am sure you've seen this. Just in case you haven't, for your baby:

LUCKILY, my baby's not big enough to wear those yet. she only wears size 18mo clothes right now. but damn, some of those are cute.

ya, i really got to put spending on hold for a bit. that's why i was waiting to buy the fred perry shirt for my husband until closer to father's day and then there's another record i've got my eye on, but i'm price watching it for now. $20 a week?! geez, that's the allowance my parents had me on back when i was in college and it wasn't much back then! lol.

oh and i showed my husband the video for rival schools and he likes that song. thanks for linking it. (even if you didn't like it.)
