Hopefully he ran away!
I have cool vhs tape of a show with 108 & Shelter at goodies in Fullerton form 1993. I remember that show was rockin'. Vic from Inside Out started 108 & they played "No Spiritual Surrender".
I stopped going to hardcore shows after that because of all the nonsense, preaching & the militant nature of the whole sxe movement. I couldn't relate anymore. Plus I wasn't a vegan & I drank an occasion beer in high school.
HAHAHA... ya, i don't think he would've made the cut. he was a vegetarian at the time and i'm sure he could've gone vegan, but no drinking? psh, i only started drinking/partying when i met him! i, on the other hand, could've been sXe back then if it weren't for a couple straight edgers at my school accusing me of being a pothead just because i'm laid back. i was definitely put off by the militarism that you mention.
i think he was just really into parts of what ray cappo sang about and intrigued by the hare krishnas. guess he never had them approach him in an airport trying to sell him a copy of the bhagavad-gita.
Heres a cool sale
7" grab bag - 40 for 50PPD
here is the deal. i recently had to special order some extra large 7" shipping boxes in order to send a purchase to a guy who bought an extremely large amount of records. combine that with the fact that i am trying to clear a few hundred 7"s out of my collection to make some space and we have the idea for this sale.
i have about 8 of these boxes remaining, no idea whether i can sell them all, but i managed to easily fit 40 records in one, and have plenty to go around.
now, here is the fine print. the records that will be sent out will be chosen at random, hence the term "grab bag" - rest assured that there is a minimal amount of crap in my collection, though there are quite a few selections that are largely unknown or forgotten. you can expect to receive some '80s or '90s hc, indie rock, pop-punk, among other subgenres related to those. i have 7" singles & eps, splits, and compilations, so you can also expect to get a nice variation.Vinyl Collective - record grab bag sale, 40 7"s for $50ppd
here's a great pressing info resource for No-Idea records, which i have quite a few of

Hot Water Music - Live in Chicago #6 on White (1000) is now available from No Idea. This is the last of the releases.
Hot Water Music - Live in Chicago
All i need now is #1 and then ill have all 6, kinda hard to bite the bullet for 50 bucks for a 7" though.
So i just got this in the mail and not only was it WAY overpriced, the jacket and one of the sleeve inserts are definitely not in good condition, overall pretty bummed about this purchase. Debating on leaving negative feedback.
