IWABO Self Titled EP
Pulled the trigger
$114 for the Teac receiver from Amazon
$359 for the Pro-ject turntable from Needle Doctor
better be worth it haha.
were you still using the crosley? because you will hear a HUGE difference in sound, you certainly won't be disappointed!
the difference between the crosley needle and the one on the debut is big (and the debut needle is considered a "budget/starter" needle.
yeah im still on my crosley. i know the price will definitely be worth it. Will the amount i spend on my collection it was time for me to invest in a legit set up.
yeah i was thinking about upgrading the needle on my order but i was gonna upgrade to the Ortofon OM 5E that the Debut comes with to a Ortofon Red but someone told me its barely worth it so i might wait a lil bit and upgrade to the blue or black. ill also eventually need a speedbox cause i have a decent amount of 45s and it will drive me crazy manually switching the belt to listen to them.
Found this video on setting up a debut, any notes i should take that are missing?

not really, video pretty much covers it all, like i mentioned earlier... it's an easy set up.
the hard part comes when it's time to change cartridges (in your case, you can upgrade just the stylus to a om 20, which is a piece of cake) cause without a removable headshell, it's going to be a pain in the ass. i am not looking forward to that day haha
yeah thats why i was debating on upgrading when i bought it cause needle doctor will do it for free.
Well.. i have good news and bad. At amoeba he picked up "Combat Rock" However, last month at our local record store in the town we live in he picked up Sandinista (they had two) but when he bought his, it was the last one.
We'll keep our eyes open though. They get lots of cool stuff at this shop we go to.![]()
