STILL one of my favorite Cure albums. :D
STILL one of my favorite Cure albums. :D
Loved me some Catatonia back in the 90's, but since they disbanded, there have been multiple Cerys Matthews solo records to keep things going.
Got her new one this week called "Don't Look Down" (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA240_.jpg)
It was also released simultaneously in Welsh (she's from Wales). I don't know a stitch of Welsh, but both are great, and some songs sound even better in Welsh. I can't imagine the work that goes into translating an album.
In my car CD wallet at the moment:
Opeth - String Tribute
Soul Asylum - Hang Time
Soul Asylum - And The Horse They Rode In On
Black Sabbath - Live with Rob Halford Costa Mesa 1992
Black Sabbath - Live Bueons Aires 1994
Tenacious D - S/T
Primus - Fizzle Fry
Gwar - Lust In Space
Arch Enemy - The Root of all Evil
Dethklok - Dethalbum II
Amorphis - Skyforger
Em Sinfonia - In Mournings Symphony
Actually, that's a pretty strange collection to have going at once. No death/black/thrash metal at the moment.
The Song Remains the Same - Led Zeppelin
Rough Boys - Pete Townsend
Misty Mountain - Led Zeppelin
Hot for Teacher - Van Halen
Hey Joe - Jimi Hendrix
Classic R&R afternoon!
I love slow. Slow but deep.
i love it
Cornell Hockey - LETS GO RED!
"I love this f***ing team right here."
One of the first ALBUMS I ever listened to thanks to my Uncle...who first introduced me to satire and sarcasm. It was a huge turning point in my formative years...and A tremendous ALBUM. Truly a shame that the Coop has never been on the Rock'n'Roll Hall o'Fame ballot...but, **** them, after all, they are in Cleveland.
