Holee **** Cannot remember the last time a new band hit me this hard!!!!!!!

'thass the biggest black ass I've ever seen...and I like it, I like it, a lot!!!!' ****ING MAGIC!!!!!!!

This is a Church I will gladly go to onna Sunday!!!!

The more music they put out the more they embrace Queen. Listen to the backing vocals and the guitar flourishes. Gonna say it now, gonna take a mega effort to dislodge this from my #1 of 2012. Seriously.

So, maybe it's our familiarity that leaves us cold. I don't have any Screaming Trees, I was introduced to Lanegan from his work with QOTSA...where's a good place to start if I wanted to check out some Trees?
See, this KCRW performance sounds so much better than the record:

As far as Screaming Trees, Sweet Oblivion was their best seller, and it's more classic rock than their earlier, more psychadelic indie sound. Uncle Anethesia is right in between, and is probably the best place to start

This is, in my opinion, the best album (or should I say "albums" - double disc) of 2011.
