"The Shins - Port of Morrow" just released today
Discovered this album by random chance. All I can say is that it's been a long time since I've been moved so, so deeply by an album. Hospice by The Antlers is a narrative that follows a hospice worker who meets a girl dying of terminal bone cancer, their falling in love, and the downward spiral as he remains by her side as her condition and mental state deteriorates. Every song is so heartfelt and emotional, the lyrics literally penetrate the soul, and by the end of the album I was left speechless. Outstanding ****ing record.
