mmm, mmmm, good. Great album up until the last two songs. My favorite tracks on that record are:

    Offline P.K.
    Penelope
    X I Y
    Your Sickness

Summer in Abaddon is my favorite. Haven't really listened to Autumn of the Seraphs, nor S/T, but the Offcell and Some Voices EPs are excellent(June is an amazing song).

heh, the nice thing about it being a double LP is that i can skip side D if i come to the same conclusion about the last two songs.

i, too, love summer in abaddon. very solid album. have you seen them live before? last night was my first time. AFK is really interesting live.
autumn of the seraphs is probably a tiny notch below, but i still enjoy it. i really like "good to sea" off that one.

i only have the three albums i just mentioned, they had all the other ones you referred to at the show, but i only had so much money on me. i'm going to have to pick up the ones you say are excellent though.

I've seen them twice, both in 2005 if I remember correctly. They seemed to speed the songs up a lot at both shows, which I thought was a little odd. I know that most bands do that, but part of the whole Pinback feel for me is the slowness, the mellowness of the songs. I still really enjoyed the shows and the songs sounded great, but just a little too fast for me.

that was my impression of afk particularly. i'm still chewing on if i liked it or not, but i didn't dislike it... penelope was sped up also, to a point of not being immediately recognizable. oh well, i liked the show a lot regardless.
i think it'd be interesting to see them do it all acoustic, which i think they've done before, but i've just missed out on.

after listening to Scars on Broadway and Serge Tankian's cd's...it is clear that the madness that is S.O.A.D. is a collective...the parts are not as good alone.
