I am re-reading Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash and reading The Arthur Conan Doyle's "Hound of the Baskervilles" for the first time.

I am afraid, however, that I might end up abandoning Snow Crash because school just started.

The Corner by David Simon and Edward Burns

I've been looking for this book in bookstores for years (yeah I was too lazy to order it online). So far it's pretty good, narcotics is a pretty interesting world.

    I finished Q & A by Vikas Swarup.

It's the book that Slumdog Millionaire was based on, in fact it is now being marketed under that title rather an Q & A - which I don't agree on. Like the movie, the book is excellent! However, because of the many major departures in the events between the book and the movie, I almost consider them two separate entities rather than them being related.

I can see why they changed a lot of things in the book for the movie. The chronology of the events in the book jumps everywhere and it gets a little confusing at times. There is also a lot more dark subject matter that probably wouldn't have 'captivated audiences' as much.
