the hellbound heart
A Confederacy Of Dunces is one of the funniest books of all time.
As far as life affecting books, I'll go with just about anything by Andrew Vachss.
if you wanna read something really funny, Good Omens is hilarious.
the book i'm currently reading - The Master and Margarita, is simply phenomenal.
I really liked the Neverwhere novel.
The miniseries it's based on is pretty bad. The budget definitely showed.
So far there are some good titles abound in this thread (ie. Master and Margarita, Confederacy of Dunces).
Call me boring, and a stickler for language and narrative, but The Grapes of Wrath is the most recent book that awe-inspired me.
If we're talking humor, it's Catch-22 or Bright Lights, Big City that last had me in stitches.
Note to Self....visit library soon.
Current read....Travels with Charlie. Not the Grapes of Wrath but a good read.
