There isn't anything wrong with trying to find out how many licks it takes to get to the center of the tootsie pop...just like there isn't anything wrong with occasionally accepting what you watch without HAVING to know everything. I think if you overanalyze some things(this being one of them) it has a tendency to remove the awe and wonder of a truly unique creation. I don't really understand how dvd players(for example) work, but i don't need to open one up and have it all 'make sense' to enjoy it for what it is. And really...the Pirates thing again. Sheesh, even I stopped hitting you with the 'chartreuss chandelier' jabs at some point...get over it son.

So how did that work with say...LOST? Were you satisfied with the answers, or did it color your overall memory of what was a terrific show. I am a Stephen King fanatic. Not the best when it comes to sticking the landing as far as endings and wrapping all the loose ends up. So why do I like his work? Because the journey is the thing. Wilfred never hints that you are going to get all the answers. They made no promises. It's a 'high concept' premise. A guy see's a man in a dog suit where others see just a dog. Are you expecting some sort of all encompassing Sigmund Freud detailed explanation of everything that occurs? Really? Not everything needs to be explained to the most obscure detail. You worry too much Doc. They have prescriptions for that. You stress that much over all the answers and the next thing you know...well, you just might be that guy talking to your id in a dog suit.

I don't think it's a sign of stress or worry or taking things too seriously. The whole concept of the show is bizarre and I don't think it's out of line to simply ask yourself, or maybe even others, "What the f*** is actually going on here?"

Hell, I might even argue that the concept is so far out of left field, the question is imbedded and intended as part of the appeal. The main character of the show does it all the goddamn time.





Year One, on the other hand.... I mean, talk about a piece that you're not supposed to think too much about.

I'm so glad that I have posted enough on here that all my opinions can be 'crosstalked' into invalidating other opinions. Case by case people. Apples...meet oranges.

this show has gotten stranger. Almost alarmingly so.
