It's been really uneven but I almost like it more. Wilfred is clearly more than he seems...it's like an unspoken thing. You constantly are left to wonder 'why is he never with Jenna?' And he just shows up when Ryan is at a bar next door saying that he is drinking with his 'best friend' somewhere else. It's really kind of sketchy. And you have to believe at this point that something is really wrong with Ryan. So no, I do not think things are 'status quo'. It's also been more...dark/mean spirited. He had a girlfriend and that ended really badly. It was truly one of the more ugly moments of the show. More developments with his mom in the nuthouse. A job with a boss that was getting (same) sexual favors from a mentally challenged office worker, and then the boss offing himself in a later episode after a motivational speech. Dwight Yoakum returned and that was odd too. It's almost as if this show and Louie are the 'we defy you to laugh' hour. It's not an easy watch but it definitely is worth watching.
OK I'll get back in.
Really excited to see the new episodes
I have been on the road all summer so my
Que must have a couple of them in there .
If you have seen the original series from OZ
It's pretty dark compared to the first US season .
Yeah, I saw a few when they marathoned on IFC and I definitely noticed the difference. I would say that they are closer in spirit to what I saw of the Aussie show than the tone of last season. At this point iI almost expect Wilfred to not be even real, or be dead...or something. It's almost irrelevant.
As a dog owner I can relate to 99.9% of the content.
I need to start over from the beginning. Started, stopped, started again with this season. Love the show tho. Totally unlike a lot of the brainless drivel out there that most people prefer.
Same, i love the little 20 second clips at the very end right before Louie starts. The one a few episodes back when Wilfred was smiling and Ryan asked why he was smiling so much and said something like "Its hot as **** in here!" had me dying cause my dog does that ALL THE TIME.

Luckily not a death blow due to the good folks at Fx...but it certainly isn't looking great. Not renewed yet...but this show does have a pretty die hard following. If it was only season one, I would feel better about their chances. But I can't help but feel that Fx is going to have to look at this as diminishing returns. Coin flip.Wilfred (FX)

More bad news for Wilfred this week. After posting its lowest viewership ever with its previous episode, the series dropped yet again to hit a brand new low. With just one week to go until the season finale, that's not good.
FX Adopts Wilfred’ Season 3
Back in July, FX President and General Manager John Landraf spoke at the TCA Press Tour about the renewal chances of “Wilfred” and said that “we have some deal issues to work out but I think it’ll be on the air for several more years.”
However, Langraf’s declaration was followed by months of silence about “Wilfred’s” fate until today, when FX officially renewed “Wilfred” for a third season. Deadline is reporting that the negotiations for renewal moved slowly because the network was attempting to reach a new deal with “Wilfred” showrunner and executive producer, David Zuckerman.
However, Zuckerman will step down as the “Wilfred” showrunner in favor of Reed Agnew and Eli Jorne; both of whom wrote for the first two seasons. Zuckerman will retain his title as executive producer of the series, but the extent of his involvement going forward isn’t entirely clear.
