Still not sure about this...

My only super nerdy issue is that Mystique was shown to be a relatively young and hot lady when she got stabbed with the "Mutant Cure" yet this shows her to be a peer of Magneto and Professor X.

By "original series" do you mean the three other films? If so... I never payed enough attention to notice any problems. Examples?

first were - Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Jean Grey & Beast, followed by - Wolverine, Colossus, Storm and Nightcrawler.

Rogue being Mystique's adopted daughter and Nightcrawler being her actual son.

Juggernaut is Professor X's step brother.

OK you're talking about inconsistencies between the Movie Continuity and the Comic Continuity.

I'm talking about inconsistencies within the movie continuity.

In X-Men : Last Stand we saw Mystique get shot with a dart full of Mutant Cure. She then turns into nude Rebecca Romijn. CLEARLY much younger than the old and crusty Magneto.

But in this new movie... we see her as being only slightly younger than a young and sparkly Magneto.

SHENANINGANS!!!!
