"starting at $499". Looks like a pretty sweet toy. The only thing I can see as being a nuisance is if you wanna type with two hands, you have to prop it up or lay it flat and look down on it. Can't wait to pick one up and f*** around with it though.

Would help to get the keyboard dock.

I'm buying it. Its settled. Now I just need to decided which model I want/ can afford.

I'm sorry, but I don't get it.

If I need something that fits in my pocket, I have my iPhone. If I have to tote something around, I have a laptop that is much faster than the iPad, has a keyboard, and cost me $600. Why do I want that thing?

the iPad is a hell of lot more portable than your laptop and is great as a casual computer. Personally, I'm going to be using for notes in class and when I'm traveling. But hey, to each his own, right?

It's appears to be much easier to use and read than an iPhone and more portable than a laptop.

An iPhone doesn't fit in your pocket as well as a cell phone.

If I keep my old cell phone and get one of these to carry around instead of a laptop, it seems like a better setup.

What do you think?

I have a feeling that AT&T agreed on he $29.99/mo for the Ipad data plan in exchange to keep the Iphone exclusive to AT&T.

I can see how the size would be nice if you're already bogged down with books. Do you think you'll be able to type at full speed with it?

I think the iPhone is a horrible phone, thus I carry both it and my cell phone (Which work pays for).

I use the iPhone for the other tools that it gives me. Mobile email when I'm not sitting at my desk, texting, and some of the other apps. Its nice to be able to play some music when I'm upstairs hacking at a server.

If it were me, it would be a 27" iMac, a standard cell phone, and one of these.

Ok, I'm done foaming. Someone pass me the Kool-Aid.
